The URSCA training course is an intensive classroom program designed to teach the fundamentals of designing, building, and managing enterprise networks. This session includes hands-on lab activities using UniFi’s powerful Cloud Gateways and specialised hardware.
What You Will Learn:
Network Theory & Design: Master the OSI model, TCP/IP, and IPv4/IPv6 communication. Learn LAN/WAN hierarchy, high-availability, WAN failover, and VLAN tagging.
Switching & Routing: Deep dive into MAC tables, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), Link Aggregation, and 802.1X/RADIUS. Coverage includes Static, Policy-Based, and Dynamic Routing (OSPF/BGP).
Services & Security: Configure DHCP, DNS, NAT, and advanced Firewall rules. Implement QoS, Traffic Shaping, and secure Tunnelling (VPNs).
Cybersecurity: Implement best practices for secure management, threat detection, and Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS). Includes cryptography and remote logging.
Requirements: Please bring a Windows 7/8/10 laptop with full administrative rights, an Ethernet port, and Google Chrome.
Certification: After successfully completing the course and passing the online examination, you will receive an internationally recognised certificate valid for 2 years.
